UPDATE: SpaceX’s Starlink Connection problems are still being reported by a few SpaceX users.

Many Starlink subscribers in the US, ranging from Virginia to Arkansas, commented that they had yet to get back online. Some suggested that they attempt a factory reset.
SpaceX’s Starlink Experiences a Serious Outage
As of right now, Starlink has “mostly recovered from the network outage, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours,” according to Michael Nicolls, vice president of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX.
Nicolls did not provide further details, but attributed the disruption to a “failure of key internal software services that operate the core network.” He went on to say that SpaceX intends to “fully root cause this issue and ensure it does not occur again.
As for the “T-Satellite service,” T-Mobile informed T.O.W. that it is “operating normally with no network impacts or outages.”
UPDATE: Access is beginning to return to certain Starlink subscribers. Brian Westover of T.O.W. informed us that before his satellite internet was restored in rural Idaho, he was offline for almost two hours.
According to Westover, diagnosing the problem was first challenging. Even though there are no trees near his house, SpaceX’s Starlink app was alerting him that his Starlink dish had become blocked.
“It is a real pain, though, because there’s no way to really tell if the problem is your own hardware, and can be fixed with troubleshooting, or if it’s on Starlink’s end,” according to him.
The two-plus-hour interruption, according to Doug Madory, director of Internet Analysis at Kentik, marks “this incident Starlink’s longest outage since becoming a major service provider.”
Meanwhile, Starlink’s official website still states that it is currently experiencing an outage. According to some users, their Starlink service is still unavailable.

Customers worldwide are unable to access satellite internet due to what looks to be a significant outage in SpaceX’s Starlink.
Access to the satellite internet system, which serves more than 6 million people globally, has been lost, according to users on Facebook, Reddit, and X.com. Users in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe have reported service interruptions.
On X, the business wrote, “Starlink is currently in a network outage, and we are actively implementing a solution. We appreciate your patience.
On Downdetector.com, outage complaints are on the rise; at approximately 12:00 PT, there were 55,000 reports. Starlink.com appears to have been taken down as well.
A banner stating that “Starlink is currently experiencing a service outage” was visible as recently as thirty minutes ago. Our team is looking into it, but neither Starlink.com nor its Availability Map is currently loading.
Jianping Pan, a professor of computer science who studies satellite internet systems at the University of Victoria in Canada, claims he is having trouble connecting. He informs us that “we have access to about 20 Starlink dishes around the world—all down at the moment.”
A request for comment has not yet received a response from SpaceX. This story will be updated as it develops.
